Come and be a valley girl in our second-generation family farm nestled in the golden valley of the Black Mountains.

Decades of giving back to nature means the farm has become a haven for wildlife. We are proud to be home to hares, bats, owls, otters, kites, and kingfishers. Our ancient hay meadow is filled with rare wildflowers, the skies are dark, and the air is restoratively clean. There is even drinking water direct from our natural spring.

We are a 15 minute drive from the world’s largest book town - Hay-on-Wye, with all of it’s many unique attractions - a horse ride to the majestic Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, a walk from both a 12th century pub, ancient drover’s marches, medieval landmarks, neolithic Arthur’s Stone, the Peterchurch Sacred Spring, and a short car ride will take you to the breathtaking Llanthony Abbey ruin in the National Park, or even the working abbey — 12th century Cistercian Dore Abbey.

If you dream of peaceful rides along the Welsh Marches bridleways, picnic lunches with great views, evenings sketching in our barn art studio, and cosy drinks by the fire, then we are the place for you! We want you to relax, let your hair down and have a bunch of fun. We want you to be a valley girl.

Ride one of our carefully sourced horses or bring your own — we welcome all experience levels. In our art studio, we welcome curious or professional artists for unpressured guided sessions, exploring paintings and sketches inspired by the land. Or we can arrange life model sessions.

Choose what you want to do — a mix of riding and art or just one or the other! Up to you, we just want you to have the best break ever. We also offer licensed massages on site, and our infrared sauna and 9 ft deep swimming pool are yours to use as you wish. Please reach out for a more detailed breakdown of the retreat for all the extra info.

We are big believers in the power of nature and disconnecting from the demands of a crazy world. Our retreat is a celebration of creativity, freedom, peace, unspoiled countryside and most crucially a break from modern life. Bring your book, old jeans, a paintbrush and riding boots.
